As Twitchy reported, President Obama is set to deliver a speech on fixing Obamacare this morning. Among the reported fixes? Consumers whose coverage was dropped will be able to renew their plans … sort of:
Breaking: source tells me potus will announce cancelled insurance policies for those in individual market can ml be renewed…

A year. A year.
Aside from the logistical issues:
WSJ story doesn't say how it would be possible for Obama to do this by executive fiat.

(To be fair, since when as that ever stopped Obama?)
Also unclear if insurers can logistically re-issue cancelled plans/how this interacts with state regulators, who approve all plans.

So do people whose health plans have been cancelled get restored? Are insurance companies going to be told to restore them? Subsidies?

The idea that this will in any way fix the Obamacare cluster is ludicrous.
FYI: "Administration Fix" to #ObamaCare postpones cancellations until after 2014 elections. Not even pretending to hide political motive.

So, this temporary "fix" relieves political pain briefly — then results in big round of cancellation letters/premium hikes next fall?

And we’re still waiting for the punchline.
