That’s Press Secretary Jay Carney’s story, anyway, and he’s sticking to it. When Fox News’ Ed Henry asked if the president has been following the story and has any comments, Carney had this to say:
“The president does not and cannot take a position on an ongoing trial.”
Typical weaselly response from a typical weasel. What a perfect Obama spokesman.

Carney also insisted that the president believes in “the basic principle that … abortions ought to be safe, legal, and rare.” If that’s really true, Obama should have no issue weighing in on the Gosnell case. What allegedly took place in Gosnell’s house of horrors was neither safe nor legal.
