This afternoon, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie plans to address the scrapped Sandy relief bill. Some conservatives are hoping that Christie will take the opportunity to acknowledge the bill’s thick pork padding:
I'm holding out hope that Christie blames Obama's lack of leadership for the Sandy bill being laden with spending unrelated to Sandy. #naive

Dear @GovChristie, blame the people who put non-Sandy spending into the bill. Only. Media will only focus on other stuff you say if not.
— RBe (@RBPundit) January 2, 2013
Yes. cc: @GovChristie RT @SARosado: @RBPundit He should be placing the blame on the Senate and whoever else stuffed pork into the bill.

But they’re right to not hold their breath:
.@NYGovCuomo and I believe this continued inaction and indifference by the House of Representatives is inexcusable. #SandyBill

You can read their joint statement here.
The fact that days continue to go by while people suffer, families are out of their homes…

…and men and women remain jobless and struggling during these harsh winter months is a dereliction of duty. #SandyBill

When American citizens are in need we come to their aid. That tradition was abandoned in the House last night. #SandyBill
— Governor Christie (@GovChristie) January 2, 2013
We can likely expect more of that at the presser.
Really, @GovChristie? You're going to pile on the House Republicans on Sandy Relief? I know you know there's non-Sandy spending in the bill.
— RBe (@RBPundit) January 2, 2013
So… @GovChristie has decided that bashing House Republicans is better than explaining that there are non-Sandy funds in the bill. GREAT
