What is it with liberal women who claim to want recognition as women yet consistently represent themselves in terms of their reproductive organs? When Team Obama tells these women to vote based on their anatomy, they gladly pledge their fealty. This is empowerment? Hollywood liberals sure seem to think so. In a new campaign, Draw the Line, lefty celebs including Sarah Silverman (no representative of women as far as we’re concerned), Sandra Bernhard, Amy Poehler, and Queen of Thespians Meryl Streep engage in a little liberal fear-mongering, suggesting that Republicans are all knuckle-dragging neanderthals bent on controlling and manipulating women’s lady parts:

What’s in this so-called Bill of Reproductive Rights? Let’s have a look:
We the people of the United States hereby assert the following as fundamental human rights that no government may deny and that our governments at every level must guarantee and safeguard for all.
The right to make our own decisions about our reproductive health and future, free from intrusion or coercion by any government, group or individual.
The right to a full range of safe, affordable and readily accessible reproductive health care — including pregnancy care, preventive services, contraception, abortion and fertility treatment — and accurate information about all of the above.
The right to be free from discrimination in access to reproductive health care or on the basis of our reproductive decisions.
So, if we’re understanding them correctly, the government needs to stay out of people’s private reproductive lives … by funding people’s private reproductive lives. Huh? What these self-proclaimed women’s rights advocates don’t seem to understand is that Republicans by and large don’t care what people do in their bedrooms — and they believe that contraception is the responsibility of the party choosing to engage in sexual activity. Imagine that! Moreover, to conservatives, women are much more than the sum of their parts; women are full-fledged individuals. How backward!
Liberals gleefully took the shameful bait:

That’s right. According to Silverman, Streep, et al., Republicans will stop at nothing to get their hands on women’s reproductive organs.
News flash, lefties: Republicans do care about women’s rights: women’s right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. And they care about the rights of the unborn. Abortion-happy leftists believe that women aren’t truly empowered until they are able to snuff out the life that is growing within their fabled lady parts — with a little help from the government, of course. Liberal feminists may profess to fight for women, but on their battlefield, women can only lose. How’s that for a Hollywood ending?
