The world may be going to hell in a handbasket, but today does have one saving grace.

Today is the day that Ricky Gervais’ new Netflix special “SuperNature” drops on Netflix.

Oh, the fainting couch companies are definitely gonna have their work cut out for them.

Last week, Gervais said that “smart” people wouldn’t be offended by his special. And he’s right, of course.

But there are plenty — and we mean plenty — of stupid people out there, which means that there are gonna be a whole lot of shattered “I’M OFFENDED” meters when this is over.

Uh-oh, Ricky … look what you did:

Variety couldn’t agree more:

Oh, the humanity!

Hold up, Stephen … are you suggesting that the outrage over Gervais’ special is largely manufactured?

We hope that’s what you’re suggesting, because it’s true.

Well, you watch and be the judge:

Fact-check: true. Ricky Gervais’ new comedy special is, indeed, funny. Hilarious, actually.

The best comedy works because it contains an element of truth. And Gervais’ comedy is absolutely overflowing with truth.

Ricky Gervais may be an animal rights activist, but he straight-up slaughtered a sacred woke cow.

And you’d better believe that we’re here for it.

Good. He shouldn’t.

The only thing that could possibly make this better is for J.K. Rowling to give Gervais’ special her personal seal of approval.

Mind if we join you?
