The Democrats don’t seem to be doing such a hot job of winning over skeptical Americans. Maybe they’d fare better if they took this advice from MSNBC’s Chris Hayes:
One the central message of the Dem nominee could be: the Trump economy actually sucks. He thinks it's great because he's given all his rich buddies and his family corrupt giveaways, but he's screwed you.
I mean, a GM plant just closed 10 miles away. Maybe talk about that?
— Chris Hayes (@chrislhayes) August 1, 2019
Oh yes, Chris. They should definitely talk about that.
So, Democrats prefer fewer people with jobs, smaller paychecks, dismal GDP, lower productivity rates, not to mention those super high tax rates they dearly love so much.
OK. Thanks for clearing that up, Chris.

But that would be a blatant lie Chris. Many (including myself) in the middle class have benefited from it too. Not just a little either, I’ve literally tripled my portfolio this year alone
Why purposely lie?

yep, low unemployment and rising wages suck. please democrats run on this message

Unemployment is under 4%, wages are up substantially, GDP growth is fairly solid, ~70% of voters hold positive views of the economy & it’s the only big issue on which Trump consistently wins majority approval. But feel free to make this a central message ??♂️ https://t.co/vmTkiaa5lM

Yes, the Democrats should definitely run on, "Hey, you know how the economy is kicking ass right now and you're all benefitting from it? Well, it isn't, and you're not." https://t.co/4q1rDMORls

Surely even Chris Hayes can see that his strategy could backfire bigly for Democrats.
I mean: this advice is worth what I'm charging.
— Chris Hayes (@chrislhayes) August 1, 2019
Maybe, but for Donald Trump, it’s priceless.
You may need medication when @realDonaldTrump wins in 2020
