“Captain Marvel” made a buttload of money, and “Avengers: Endgame” is on track to make buttloads more. But their success will have come despite star Brie Larson, who has been nothing short of insufferably self-righteous.

During her press tours for “Captain Marvel,” Larson said she was working hard to “make sure [her] press days were more inclusive,” meaning less “overwhelmingly white male.” Now, she’s complaining that Marvel’s not moving fast enough to incorporate more LGBTQ characters:

Despite BuzzFeed’s framing, a handful of people whining that the MCU isn’t sufficiently gay doesn’t really constitute fans being “disappointed” by the film. But Larson’s committed to her duties as an SJW mouthpiece. Here’s what she recently told the host of “The Big Ticket” podcast about the lack of gay superheroes:

“That breaks my heart to hear that, because there’s no reason,” she said. “I don’t understand how you could think that a certain type of person isn’t allowed to be a superhero. So to me it’s like, we gotta move faster. But I’m always wanting to move faster with this stuff.”

Does anyone think LGBTQ people aren’t “allowed” to be superheroes? Maybe “Captain Strawman” would be a more appropriate name for Larson’s character. In the meantime, why doesn’t she send a message by only portraying LGBTQ characters from now on? Get the ball rolling, you know?

She actually thinks she’s helping when she pulls this crap.

Brie’s highly problematic. And highly annoying.
