Jim Acosta isn’t the type of journalist who likes to share the spotlight, but we’re sure he’ll make a special exception for April Ryan. Like Acosta, Ryan also found herself the object of Donald Trump’s ire at today’s White House press conference:
Trump just sneers at April Ryan, "Sit down. I didn't call you."

Aaron and Maggie must’ve not had enough characters left in their tweets to point out that Ryan was interrupting the Daily Caller’s Saagar Enjeti when she was just trying to ask Trump a question.
Trump to April Ryan: "Sit down. I didn't call on you … It's such a hostile media. You rudely interrupted him (DC's Saagar Enjeti)."

Just an oversight on their parts, we’re sure.
Well anyway, much like Acosta, Ryan leaped at the chance to make herself the hero of the exchange:
April Ryan is now breathlessly recapping how she tried to yell out a question at the press conference and was told to sit down by Trump.

So stunning and brave.

It really doesn’t. Ryan’s schtick, on the other hand …
Acosta just accused Trump of "attacking" April Ryan by telling her to sit down. To be clear, April Ryan was shouting out of turn while my colleague @esaagar was attempting to ask the president a question. That's not supporting your press colleagues, that's being selfish and rude.

That’s … being April Ryan.
GP "Trump was not nice to me" is clearly evidence of a nascent government plot to round up and Gitmo the entire media. https://t.co/ImJ4YXOpLv

Part of me hopes they keep this up for the next two years but I’d actually like conservatives to win on our great policy ideas not just because liberals and the media are absolutely bonkers. https://t.co/d3sJa7Hxv7
