As Twitchy told you, earlier today, CNN’s John King had the call to say that “nobody’s blaming the president” for the recent bomb threats against Democratic politicians and officials. He said that as this chyron appeared with him on the screen:
CNN: TRUMP IS RESPONSIBLE FOR INCITING THE BOMBER. HE NEEDS TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY.
(At least @mkhammer insisted rhetoric doesn't = violence) pic.twitter.com/KjkGGPSaMK— NewsBusters (@newsbusters) October 25, 2018
If you thought that was bad, get a load of this chyron that appeared a short time later:

Gee. What could CNN be insinuating there?
This @CNN chyron is utterly ridiculous: pic.twitter.com/ygitubPiDC

"…TRUMP'S TARGETS"…Their headline wording is horrendous.

Worth noting: Earlier this morning, Jake Tapper defended his network from suggestions that CNN employees have accused Donald Trump of being responsible for the threats.
Actually, the very first thing CNN was evacuate our NYC offices because of a bomb threat.
And I didn’t hear one CNN employee on TV or privately accuse anyone other than the bomber/s of being responsible for the devices. Not one. https://t.co/Q9w7C26wZ5

Mr. Tapper, now might be a good time to admit that maybe you shouldn’t’ve rushed to CNN’s defense:
? Jeff Zucker: "There is a total and complete lack of understanding at the White House about the seriousness of their continued attacks on the media. The President, and especially the White House Press Secretary, should understand their words matter. https://t.co/HvNUjQp4dc

idk that anyone at CNN is being as blatant as "Donald Trump is responsible for the bombs" but that's the clear tenor of both their statements and the coverage.

This is not subtle! pic.twitter.com/cXAVNv0XCj

Not subtle at all.
I don't mind @jaketapper, but this is, at best, highly misleading. CNN absolutely insinuated that Trump's rhetoric is responsible. pic.twitter.com/Ef68ozZhSi
