Kamala Harris has weighed in on the Masterpiece Cakeshop decision and … let’s just say it doesn’t speak very well of her tenure as California’s attorney general:
No business should be allowed to discriminate against any American based on who they are or who they love. Our constitution requires equal protection under the law. Full stop. https://t.co/fkGGs1pYXs

That’s nice, Kamala … but where did SCOTUS say that businesses can discriminate against Americans based on sexuality?
A "lawyer" who either didn't read the opinion or refuses to accept it https://t.co/5vUeO2QKHp

Yeah, but narrative!
Kamala, that is misleading. They were told they could buy any cake in the store. They were not told to leave, which wld have been discrimination. The question shld be is what businesses will be considered to have creative/artistic right to refuse.

It also says "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;" full stop. And the owner didn't refuse to serve them or discriminate, just wouldn't personalize the cake. SC got this case right 7-2.

Decision was decided on the ground that the tribunal below was not impartial. Senator Harris. You know better than to exaggerate the grounds on which SCOTUS determined this case.

Does she, though? Does she really?
GP No government adjudicatory body should be allowed to discriminate against any American based on their religious beliefs. Our Constitution requires adjudicators to follow the law and grant fair hearings to petitioners, not use their positions to enforce their political opinions https://t.co/C1PmaOXRAB

Oh well. At least there’s a silver lining in her stupidity:
That simplified, juvenile, sophomoric interpretation of this SC ruling brings both clarity and appreciation to the fact that Ms Harris is not sitting on the Supreme Court.
Full stop.
