As many of you know, when I first saw 'White Dudes for Kamala' cross my Twitter/X timeline I decided right then and there I was signing up. At the time they were talking about doing a Zoom call so you all know ME, I was more than prepared to tell a bunch of wealthy, elite, racist, sexist, white men from the government and Hollywood to stick it where the sun don't shine. I even chose my name, Sam Urmahm (say it out loud, you'll get it). Sadly, they decided to do a YouTube stream instead so all we could do was sit and watch the monstrosity happen in real time and wow, you guys, it was so bad. I knew we were in trouble when the first white dude we heard from had a man bun and started whining about how white men can't organize without being racist and that it's super hard to be a protector and provider.
No, really.
For a group of men who supposedly wanted to convince 'white dudes' to vote for Kamala they sure seemed to hate what it means to be a man. That darn ol' masculinity!
Meet Man-Bun:
White Dudes For Kamala Harris meeting starts off by attacking masculinity:

After man-bun dude babbled for about five minutes and talked about how awful white men really are (60% or so vote Republican, the nerve), he turned it over to a young black man (so much for the white dudes for Kamala thing) who went on some rant about evil MAGA and how they had to stop Trump to protect democracy EVEN though we all know there was a literal coup that just took place in the White House.
So much for their precious democracy.
Then came a long line of Hollyweirdos (was so disappointed to see Jeff Bridges on this call) and Democrats like Pete Buttigieg (we could see RIGHT up his nose), Pritzker, some annoying bald dude from Louisiana, and Roy Cooper. They sat and talked about Trump and how evil and WEIRD JD Vance is ... they also kept pushing the lie that Project 2025 is Trump's. I suppose at least Buttigieg was honest when he admitted men were freer when women can have abortions.
Yes, he really said that.
If I'm being totally honest I did tap out before Sean Astin came on to cry about his feelings and Eric Swalwell told really bad jokes, and I missed Supernatural's Mischa Collins (I wouldn't say I missed him) but the overall feeling from the entire get together was, 'white dudes suck unless they vote for Democrats.'
Finally, the highest number of people streaming I saw was around 64K (this dropped off during Pritzer, which was really funny) and overall they did raise $4 million dollars for Kam-Kam. And sure, the boys were super excited about raising that much HOWEVER, when you look at the very wealthy and connected white men they had on this call, the fact that they only raised $4 million is pretty pathetic. That's like $21 a person.
Ironically, since I was live-blogging this 'event,' a few of the white men who had taken part got very angry with me, one went so far as to call me the c-word ... liberal white men really are the worst.
