I have long considered myself the 'adult in the room' when it comes to dealing with the Left. No matter how low they go, how awful they are, for whatever reason I refuse to sink to their levels, especially when it comes to canceling others. The idea of losing a job, business, or livelihood because some lunatic on Twitter/X has really thin skin and didn't like what someone else said just didn't sit well with me. Heck, I've had them come after me before in my pre-Twitchy days and it was terrifying. But now, you guys, I've gotta be honest ... I'm not feeling overly sorry for any Lefty getting called out and 'canceled' for being disappointed Trump wasn't killed on Saturday.
I mean, c'mon, how damn ugly and awful does someone have to be to wish for the death a candidate or president? I am hardly a fan of Sleepy Joe but God forbid if someone tried to hurt him ... I wouldn't be disappointed if they failed. I'm just not that broken.
So while I understand the concerns of some people about what is happening to many Lefties who cheered the gunman I have to admit my give an EFF is broken and you know what? They made the rules.
It was easy to come to this conclusion after I came across this thread from one of my favorite people on Twitter, Rob Province aka Educated Hillbilly. He reminded me of the Hell the Left put the Right through for far lesser 'offenses.'
