After what they pulled in 2020 (and sadly, 21 and even 22), no teacher's union should be making ANY demands of ANY sort, least of all the Chicago Teacher's Union. I'm not entirely sure just who the Hell they think they are, especially after reading through this list of ridiculous demands.
And they and their supporters wonder why school choice is actually one of the most popular pieces of legislation all across the country.
Don't whine to us about how public education is being targeted when the freaking unions are destroying it from the inside out. Hey Democrats, if you care about protecting public ed, defund and ditch the teacher's unions. Otherwise, we'll do it for you gradually over time as we continue to advocate for school choice in every state.

You'd think any employee performing that poorly would know making demands is pointless ... but this is a teacher's union so we would be surprised if their demands are not met. Democrats desperately need their support, their money, and their votes.
So screw them kids and their reading proficiency, right Dems? After all, this is Chicago, it's not as if they've ever really given a single damn about the kids in their schools there.
