There are days when being a Twitchy editor is enough to make one consider anger management because HOLY COW, even the most laid-back of us can only take so much lying and BS before it starts wearing on us. And if you know anything about me, you know I'm not laid back anyway, so honestly, I'm shocked I haven't written an angrier piece about Biden before now. Oh sure, I write plenty of snarky pieces and I make fun of the guy 24/7 (with his help) but angry?
Biden wouldn't like me when I'm angry.
And this tweet? This post? THIS LIE?! Makes me angry.
Take a look.
My budget restores the expanded Child Tax Credit, lifting millions more children out of poverty.

Republicans on the Hill let that expire.
Together, we’ll bring it back.
This isn't true.

Like, at all.
Let's say for shiznits and giggles it was true, then that only means the government taxes us TOO DAMN MUCH.
Which they do.
Not only does he lie about a tax break lifting kids out of poverty, he frames it in a way that makes it look like Republicans are trying to keep kids IN poverty. It's just shameless, dirty politics.
Then again, if I am being honest, I know all too well that it's not Joe writing his tweets but some hairy-legged, blue-haired intern who hasn't showered in weeks because they are protesting the genocide in Gaza or whatever is writing them but the entire idea, the premise that a tax break could life children out of poverty ... that pisses me off. They know it's not possible, they know they're promising parents something they cannot and will not deliver.
And they also know there will be no consequences for doing so.
Joe: how many millions did you put into poverty? Americans are POORER under Biden! REAL WAGES HAVE FALLEN! Food prices are up 33.7%, Energy up 32.8%, Electricity up 27.1%, Housing up 18.7% Costing the average family an extra $11,000+ per year! It costs a family $700 MORE a month just to keep up now.
Not to mention any parent living in poverty wouldn't see these tax breaks anyway as they are likely exempt.
A tax credit does Not lift anyone out of poverty.

There's a reason they say taxation is theft.
Sounds socialist.

As so many things under this administration do.
