Maybe I'm getting paranoid in my old age, but seeing Bernie Sanders and Ilhan Omar pushing for a government regulation to limit full-time workers to just 32 hours a week without taking a paycut seems like a massive red flag. Add to that the Biden administration being openly hostile to freelancers and gig work and it feels like our pals on the Left and in the Democratic Party are literally trying to destroy working-class Americans. That or they think this will appeal to Gen-Z; they probably decided to move on from other generations since they've done nothing to improve our lives.
Regardless of their intentions, this sounds like a horrible idea because it's socialism.

Increase productivity how? Let's say someone works in a factory, how does cutting eight hours of their work time improve their productivity? Add to that these economic illeterates want to force employers to continue paying people the same amount for less work. That sounds like a recipe for disaster in our economy which is just barely treading water as it is.
