I admit it, last night I was shocked when I heard that Biden was going to address the nation after Hur's report came out. They had just literally said the guy was too old and mentally out of it to be held accountable for his actions so what did he do? He went right out there on the world stage and proved the report RIGHT. Guys, there have been some bad pressers over the years (several coincidentally since Biden entered the Oval Office), but that one? That one was special. And not in a good way.
Forget the fact Biden was all over the place and confused Mexico with Egypt (who knew Gaza was at our southern border), but he got SO MAD at reporters for asking him real questions. Right? He was furious. Oh, and the fact they asked him real questions instead of discussing his favorite flavor of ice cream tells me the 'gloves' are off, that someone somewhere has given the word and the press will be treating Ol' Joe like any other REPUBLICAN president.
Not good, for him.
All of that being said, the funniest part of the evening was watching Biden fans spin what was happening. Sure, Tom Nichols was embarrassing (at least he was humiliated into deleting his worst post) but Jonathan Chait went all in.
Nobody carries more water for Joe than this guy.
