Ok, maybe I'm just really cynical because I write about this ridiculousness for a living but why would the AP feel they need to explain why they called the South Carolina primary for Joe? Ummm, are you guys feeling guilty about calling other races? Worried we'll accuse you of being biased ... which you are.
This is just weird, even for them.
He's the Democrat incumbent, I don't think anyone was surprised that he won the primary there. But hey, you do you, AP:
Why AP called South Carolina for Biden: Race call explained https://t.co/daEyjLgFZu
— The Associated Press (@AP) February 4, 2024
From the AP:
The Associated Press declared Biden the winner at 7:23 p.m. based on an analysis of initial vote results showing him with a decisive lead in key locations throughout the state. At the time the race was called, Biden was leading statewide with about 97% of the vote, nearly double the 49% he received in the 2020 primary. Almost an hour after the race was called, Biden’s vote percentage remained largely unchanged at about 97%.
Ok?
Recommended
Because it's easier to call the race then to have a "gas leak" and find more votes..
— Scott Coleman (@bandphan) February 4, 2024
Or a water leak.
*snort*
This can't be right .
— The Outsider (@RickHol7) February 4, 2024
Biden usually has more than 100% of the votes counted.
Maybe the deceased cohort didn't get out and vote this time 🤔
RIGHT?
Hey, I get it, all 81 MILLION South Carolinians voted for Biden. They had no choice but to call it for him.
ELEVENTY BILLION VOTES!
Why? Because there are no other contestants?

There are, but I'm not sure Marianna Williamson really counts.
Pffffeewww. I was holding my breath….🙄

Same bro, same.
It was a real nail-biter.
Is the explanation math?
— Jack Fetch (@Jack_Fetch) February 4, 2024
It can't be math! I've been told by lots and lots of people that math is super racist or something.
If AP reports it, then it must be true.😉

Now, THAT is funny.
