I helped Liz Cheney get elected in Wyoming.
It's true. My then-naive self thought Liz was the bomb-diggity. A strong, outspoken, conservative woman from Wyoming? YES PLEASE. Sign me up. It was long ago I sat in on a meeting with her team talking about how we could convince Wyoming to vote for her even though many Wyomingites had concerns about her actual residence. See, they didn't believe she was one of them ... they were smarter than me. Eventually, her last name and her dad's reputation in the Equality State won the day, and she won her election. GOOD times.
And for a few years, everything seemed to be what we all thought it would be. She was staunchly pro-life, staunchly pro-America, staunchly protect our borders, everything you'd expect from a conservative, ESPECIALLY a conservative from Wyoming. Looking back, Liz was even more pro-Trump than I was; as I have said many times here, I was not necessarily his biggest fan, but she was TRULY ON BOARD.
Until she wasn't.
Because folks, deep down Liz is a jerk. That's it. And please, this is not about Trump for me, this is about what she has done to Trump supporters, the Right, and Americans in general. For whatever reason, she was more than willing to get behind Nancy Pelosi and do her dirty work for her.

At first, I was very hurt by this because again, I had helped get her elected. WTF?
So I reached out to Liz on a personal level and asked her why and what when and how ... I just didn't get it. I knew this committee wasn't so much about finding answers or justice, but about punishing Americans for standing against their government which you, know, someone who supposedly loves the Constitution as much as she does should have supported. She responded, telling me she would explain but was getting on a plane and would call me later.
I was so convinced that she would talk to me that I even reached out and told the bigs at Townhall, just so they'd be aware that one of their writers was talking to Liz Cheney. Of course, she never called.
And she never messaged me again.
That's when I got pissed off. Why bother even responding in the first place? Then the media exploded with the new LIZ IS A PATRIOTIC HERO narrative, claiming she was putting party over country, and putting her career at risk because SHE SUPPORTS THE RULE OF LAW. Blah blah blah. She and Kinzinger became the Left's favorite 'Republicans,' because they hated Trump. That's it. They'd never vote for her, of course, because she was pro-life BUT since she hated Trump and was doing her part to ruin the lives of Americans they disagreed with, she was suddenly AOK.
Unless of course, you are in Wyoming, where she was voted out TREMENDOUSLY and GLORIOUSLY by almost 40 points.
Talk about karma.
Even now though, the Left (and the left who SWEAR they're on the right) like to pretend she matters. She has a book out, she's teaching a class at UVA ... and you know what though? It doesn't change a damn thing, she's still a jerk.
