The Left loves to talk about the pendulum and how it finally swung back in 2020. At LONG LAST the evil was gone and all that was good and true and right was back in the White House, making things all sunshine and rainbows again. Yeah, it's annoying when they do it but hang in there with me for a minute.
For those of us on the Right (you know, the adults), our pendulum swung back in 2016, when Trump embarrassed Hillary on the national stage.
It was glorious.
We'd just spent eight long years watching as Obama bashed our country globally, apologized to horrible people, and weaponized federal agencies against those who disagreed with him, and finally, it was over. It was especially glorious because we'd been told for months and months that Hillary was going to win whether we 'deplorables' liked it or not.
Then she LOST.
I'm not sure a pendulum has ever swung back so spectacularly before.
Sadly, the pendulum was forced to swing back the other way in 2020 (hey, Democrats and the Left bragged about how they gamed the system), and we've been dealing with an even more horrible administration than Obama's. I didn't think it was possible either but here we are.
For now.
Honestly, I think that pendulum started swinging back our way in 2021 when Glenn Youngkin, Winsome Sears, and Jason Miyares WON in Virginia, not to mention the House here flipped red. You're probably thinking to yourself, 'Self, I don't live in VA, so what Sam is saying here doesn't really mean anything to me,' BUT if you are thinking that, you'd be wrong. See, I truly believe that was when the first domino fell, and the pendulum began to swing. They told Virginians our state was blue and if we didn't like it, we could get out.
Then THEY lost.
And since then, they've kept losing. Don't get me wrong, we should have taken the House with a far bigger majority and flipped the Senate back but it was still a win - considering how difficult it has become with mail-in voting and ballot harvesting? We did great. Not to mention we have Scott Pressler on the ground training Republicans to do the same things Democrats have been doing for the past three years because if we don't, it won't matter who we nominate, we won't stand a chance.
ALL of that aside, the big difference, the big swing right now is the number of corporations dumping the trans activist agenda and narrative because the majority of Americans said no more. The Left will pretend it's the evil Christian RIGHT doing these things but ultimately across the board, sane people are sick and tired of children being targeted by that movement, not to mention LGB is getting tired of being the shield for TQ. Target dumped trans/Pride products, Starbucks removed Pride decorations, and baseball teams are discontinuing their Pride jerseys. NOT because they're hateful or bigoted or whatever other stupid insults they want to throw at them, but because they figured out that Americans are tired of being lectured to.
We are.
Shut up, sell us a product, provide a service, play a sport ... but shut up. Nobody needs to know why you do or don't care about who someone has sex with and it's ok that nobody needs to know. That's how it should be.
See, that pendulum is swinging back our way.
