My goodness, we have watched so many famous people make their grand exit from Twitter claiming they simply CAN’T be part of something that is so racist, anti-Semitic, sexist, homophobic, or whatever other ‘ist, ism, or ic’ they’ve come up with to avoid explaining the real reason they’re bailing.
You know it’s really pathetic if they’d rather people think they oppose free speech than just admit the real reason.
For a looooong long time, these famous people weren’t challenged in any way FOR REAL about their opinions or ideas because the little people were kept at bay by the ‘babysitters’ at Twitter. God forbid they actually try and think for themselves …
But you know, there’s more. Yup.
They also no longer have a ‘canned applause’ track to play for them every time they tweet.

The best way to build a huge audience on this website has been to pander repetitively to one tribe or the other. But that is boring. The truly influential people are, over the long haul, credible because they remain unpredictable and therefore interesting.
