I adore The Babylon Bee.
True story.
Like most people on the Right, it’s a lot of fun to read what they come up with in their satire because it’s so damn close to reality that sometimes it’s as if they’ve got some sort of secret power to look into the future. I have missed seeing them since Twitter decided one of their jokes was too effective and locked them down. Oh sure, rage-donkey Tony Posnanski and other horrible people on the Left are allowed to say horrible stuff, and Twitter VERIFIES them …
But someone on the Right who’s funny, who makes people think, who gives us a reason to actually enjoy Twitter? They can’t have that. Nope.
Sort of like how they refuse to verify most of our Twitchy editors, but I digress.
The Babylon Bee’s CEO, Seth Dillon, gave us all something to cheer about today when he put together his timeline of what’s gone down with Big Tech censoring them, and what’s about to GO DOWN with them taking on Big Tech.
I can’t wait.
How's this for a timeline?
Sept 2021: Texas passes a law (HB 20) to protect free speech by limiting Big Tech's ability to censor based on viewpoint.
Sept 2021: Two trade groups representing Big Tech immediately filed suit to try and block the law.

Big Tech fought a law that would stop them from censoring people. More specifically, the Right.
Gosh, I’m shocked.
Oh, and of course, it was an Obama-appointed judge who ruled in favor of Big Tech censoring the Right. They never censor the Left because we all know they’d never censor THEMSELVES. Note, if you have to censor people to keep your narrative going, your narrative sucks.
Sorry, I got distracted and on my soapbox.
Keep going.
Dec 2021: An Obama-appointed judge ruled in favor of Big Tech, blocking the law from going into effect. In his ruling, he said it would be unconstitutional to put limits on the ability of social media platforms to moderate content as they see fit.

It was unconstitutional for THEM not to be able to censor US.
Alrighty then.
Remember when Obama called the Constitution a barrier to everything he wanted to get done? Good times.
March 2022: Twitter locks out the Babylon Bee for making a joke they didn't like.
Sept 2022: The 5th Circuit Court of Appeals overturns the earlier decision on HB 20, saying the law is constitutional because it chills censorship, not speech.

Wow, the Bee has been missing from Twitter for far too long.
Thinking that’s about to change …
October 2022: The Babylon Bee sues Twitter.

Give ’em Hell, Bee.
