Granted, Trump didn’t arrive at the White House in secrecy (and even some Republicans would agree he’s no Lincoln) BUT the comparisons between elections and behavior is pretty spot on.
And a great reminder as to why the Founding Fathers did indeed choose a Republic and instituted the Electoral College.
