Reddit, a social media site typically known for “free speech,” made headlines this week as its CEO Steve Huffman went into Trump supporter comments and made edits … or really he censored them because let’s be honest, that’s what he did.
Huffman admitted it.

According to “The Blaze,” Huffman was editing comments with his own username (f**k u/spezo) surrounding #Pizzagate trying to quote, “avoid a witch hunt” on the site. In addition to editing comments, sounds like Huffman took steps to altogether remove the #Pizzagate subreddit.
So Wrong! They need to be held accountable!

Just an example why no one trust the media, anymore. They are so arrogant, they don't even understand the need for trust.

– Edits? It's called Censorship and manipulation..

By Wednesday afternoon, users noticed their comments had been edited, so Huffman released the following statement:
“Hey Everyone,
Yep. I messed with the “f**k u/spez ” comments, replacing “spez” with r/the_donald mods for about an hour. It’s been a long week here trying to unwind the r/pizzagate stuff. As much as we try to maintain a good relationship with you all, it does get old getting called a pedophile constantly. As the CEO, I shouldn’t play such games, and it’s all fixed now. Our community team is pretty pissed at me, so I most assuredly won’t do this again.
F**k u/spez.”

Other sites keep saying Huffman “changed” posts or he “edited” them but let’s just call it what it was.
Censorship.
