DEVELOPING: Mike Pence's plane skids off 'wet' runway at LaGuardia Airport in NYC

Upon landing, the plane carrying GOP VP candidate Mike Pence skidded off the runway.

While landing, the pilots had to “slam on the brakes”; passengers said they could smell burning rubber.

There was damage to the tarmac from the landing but no injuries reported. Pence and others aboard the plane were seen exiting safely.
