WTH? Insensitive much?! Facebook used THIS emoji to 'remember' 9/11

So was Facebook deliberately disrespectful or just lazy and/or sloppy about this emoji “remembrance” for 9/11? Or was it a sideways dig at patriotism?

WTF indeed.

Was this a deliberate diss to the memory of 9/11 or was it just some faulty algorithm? Either way someone at ol’ Facebook figured out this was not ok because they eventually replaced it with a candle.
