ICYMI, rumors were ‘tweeting’ around the Twittersphere Thursday that the social media giant was shutting down in 2017 with more than 100,000 tweets using the #SaveTwitter hashtag. For example:

Yeah, just a rumor. But the reaction was CERTAINLY entertaining.
Another rumor about the rumor (rumors on top of rumors you know) is that someone complained that Twitter isn’t doing enough to stop big meanies on their site from going after people and that’s why Twitter would shut down.
Twitter basically said “ummm no.” Okay, they actually said, “There is absolutely no truth to the claims whatsoever.”
