In 2020 and 2021, I became a domestic terrorist or something. At least that’s what they wanted people to believe about us evil parents who were fighting against school boards and teacher’s unions and Democratic governors (looking at you, Northam, you boil on the butt of humanity) to get our kids back into the classroom. It was during these years of advocacy, of writing email after email, of attending board meetings and pleading with people who were so in deep with the teacher’s union that they saw me as an enemy before I even opened my mouth that parents really started waking up.
Far too many of us had been asleep at the wheel, and by the time we realized what and who had taken over our school boards, it was too late. Case in point, one of our school board members was so angry about kids being able to FINALLY go back even a couple of days a week that she politicized it on Twitter … when I pushed back I was attacked by one of her supporters who accused me of being a Republican operative. THEN the local PBS affiliate wrote an article about how MEAN parents were to this school board member and how SHE was the victim.
Yeah, I know.
Stupid.
And hurtful.
It was so bad here in Virginia that we actually were able to flip our state red, after being told by these same gross people that Virginia was BLUE and if we didn’t like it we could get out.
Good times.
Now we’ve found out the Department of Justice was labeling parents like me as domestic terrorists to help Terry McAuliffe win in Virginia … that was the cherry on top. This crazy woman in a ‘Hail Satan’ tee talking about how parents aren’t qualified to teach their own children about sex, she’s fine, though. Gonna bet Garland hasn’t added this psycho hosebeast to any lists.
