Since Trump won in 2016 I’ve lost count of the number of dirty tricks Democrats have up their sleeves to try and get rid of him because they can’t accept Hillary was just that horrible of a candidate. As we’ve all seen over the past few months, especially with the Ukraine nonsense, there is nothing they won’t pull in order to ignore the fact they lost the election because more states wanted Trump than Hillary.

Period.

The.

End.

They’re even still trying to push the LIE Republicans, aka the Free Beacon, funded the Steele Dossier.

I know, right? I made that same face.

Facts are stubborn little things, eh Lefties?

From the Washington Examiner:

The Washington Free Beacon did not bankroll the Steele dossier, a highly dubious work of opposition research alleging the Russians have compromising personal and financial information on Donald Trump.

Rather, the conservative newsroom hired the same research firm that later created it, Fusion GPS, in 2016 to investigate Trump and other Republican candidates during the GOP primaries.

Which is not the same thing as the Steele Dossier, but you knew that.

After Trump had won the nomination, the Free Beacon dropped the project. It was at that point that Democratic operatives swooped in, bringing along with them former British spy Christopher Steele. It is from Steele’s work that we get all this Russia business.

Whadd’ya know?

To reiterate, the Free Beacon had nothing to do with Steele or his work on the dossier.

“The Free Beacon had no knowledge of or connection to the Steele dossier, did not pay for the dossier, and never had contact with, knowledge of, or provided payment for any work performed by Christopher Steele,” the group’s top brass said in a statement. “Nor did we have any knowledge of the relationship between Fusion GPS and the Democratic National Committee, Perkins Coie, and the Clinton campaign.”

But wait, there’s more!

From NBC News (yes, NBC):

The heavily redacted records show FBI payments to Steele as a Confidential Human Source (CHS) over an unknown period. They also show that Steele told the FBI he had informed a third party he was acting as a CHS for the bureau, and that the FBI determined Steele had been a source for an online article.

FBI was making payments, hrm.

And finally from The Hill:

Congressional investigators have confirmed that a top FBI official met with Democratic Party lawyers to talk about allegations of Donald Trump-Russia collusion weeks before the 2016 election, and before the bureau secured a search warrant targeting Trump’s campaign.

Former FBI general counsel James Baker met during the 2016 season with at least one attorney from Perkins Coie, the Democratic National Committee’s private law firm.

That’s the firm used by the DNC and Hillary Clinton’s campaign to secretly pay research firm Fusion GPS and Christopher Steele, a former British intelligence operative, to compile a dossier of uncorroborated raw intelligence alleging Trump and Moscow were colluding to hijack the presidential election.

Soooo … not the Free Beacon.

Not Republicans.

Gosh, who knew? OH THAT’S RIGHT, every sane person outside the Left’s angry little bubble.

Editor’s note: I am hardly a fact-checker so that I (of all people) was able to so easily fact-check and debunk the Steele Dossier claim tells you what a RIDICULOUS claim it really is. C’mon Democrats, it’s worth a Google.
