If you find yourself somewhat confused about what the Paul Manafort indictment means, look no further than Ben Shapiro’s timeline as he summed up the charges where Trump is concerned in three simple tweets:
Bad news for Trump: former campaign manager was indicted for allegedly laundering money gained through illegal pro-Russian lobbying. (1/)

Not a good look for Trump.
Good news for Trump: nothing here about collusion and the campaign. At all. This was always the most plausible scenario. (2/)

Nothing about colluding with Russia for the election.
So far.
This is key.
So Trump gets dinged for obviously crappy staffing judgment. NOT "stealing the election" using Manafort as go-between. (END)

And that’s that. We already knew Trump had questionable skills when it comes to hiring people (how many press secretaries has he gone through already?). This is clearly not the gigantic impeachment nuke the Left was hoping for, but sadly it is the mess the Right was pretty sure was there all along.
Yeah, why anyone would hire someone who worked for the Podesta Group is beyond me.

Or admit he always wanted to be a woman – that seems to be their go-to defense these days.
If anyone has evidence of collusion it's Manafort, and he doesn't strike as a stand-up guy who'll keep his mouth shut

We shall see.
