If American public schools (outside of Florida, that is) still taught accurate history, most young people would know one of the worst, dirty little truths about Communists and Communist movements:
They NEVER arise out of the working class.
From the days of Karl Marx, a shiftless layabout who lived off of his parents and Frederich Engels' wealth, to the Communists in America today, like silver-spooned Zohran Mamdani, the people who tell the workers to 'rise up against the bourgeoisie' are simply children of affluence and parasites who can't — or don't want to — work an honest living themselves.
Understanding that fact is the key to seeing through most Communists. Unfortunately, too many young people still fall for it.
But maybe when they see how New York DSA chair Gustavo Gordillo lives — and who pays for his lifestyle — some of them might start to wake up.
Brace yourselves for this shocking news ...
Anti-rich DSA leader Gustavo Gordillo lives it up in posh $1.5M NYC pad paid for by millionaire parents https://t.co/vjw469fFUc pic.twitter.com/aJk3TeXpJW

You don't say! We couldn't be more shocked if we saw the sun set in the West this evening.
Don't worry. It gets worse.
So his parents own it through an LLC that they are the majority owners of. They clearly live in Florida full time to avoid NY taxes, meaning that this is a second home over $1,000,000. So they’re paying the new tax right? Just confirming that they received their letter too

Gordillo's home does appear on Mamdani's doxxing list of rich New Yorkers subject to a pied-à-terre tax, but the parents have fled to not one luxurious $3 million Florida home, but two of them.

An immigrant from Peru, Gordillo grew up in South Florida with his parents, who ended up thriving in America.
The parents now own a sprawling more than 5,000-square-foot, five-bed, six-bath home in Boca Raton that is currently on the market for $3.1 million, records show.
They also own another $3 million home in Weston, Fla., that is just slightly larger and has five beds and seven baths.
Whew! That's a whole lot of baths. Probably not enough for Gordillo to clean his conscience, though.
Don't worry. It still gets worse.
Councilmember Vicki Palladino, one of the few sane politicians in New York City, absolutely tore into Gordillo's hypocrisy and hierarchy.
Not only did DSA co-chair Gustavo Gordillo's parents buy him this rowhouse -- they converted it from a two family and renovated it into a luxury single-family home for him. Exactly the kind of 'greed' the DSA rails against on a daily basis, and reducing valuable housing inventory… https://t.co/FtVHMUAjTB pic.twitter.com/EicVFYne4z

... by one more unit, which is supposedly something the DSA cares very deeply about.
AND on top of that, his parents also own BOTH of these luxury mansions in Florida, valued at more than THREE MILLION DOLLARS EACH.
This is the DSA.
A bunch of lazy, entitled, spoiled rich kids completely unable to fend for themselves, dependent on their parents money and mad at the world because they're not capable of the same success.
This is the guy who pretends to be a 'union electrician' and smugly sat on Fox News and told us that grocery stores deserved to close and nobody was 'entitled' to real estate profits. All the while he owned a multimillion-dollar townhouse that his daddy bought him and renovated so he can live in gentrified luxury while demanding socialist revolution for the rest of us.
YOU can't live in a quiet neighborhood. YOU can't have a single-family house. YOU can't drive a car. YOU can't own a small rental property or run a grocery store or use too much electricity. But Gustavo and the rest of the DSA politburo get to have all that and more. Some animals are just more equal than others.
Absolute scum of the earth.
Every word of what she said. Especially that last sentence.
Don't just hook it into our veins; hook it into the veins of every young person in New York and America who thinks the DSA is cool and wears a Che Guevara T-shirt.
The New York Post confirmed that Gordillo doesn't actually work for a living, though he pretends to:
Gordillo has often touted himself as a blue-collar union electrician, with his X handle @UnionGordillo.
But since 2024, he has stopped referring to himself as an IBEW Local 3 member and instead identified as just some form of a union worker.
Reports show he joined the IBEW sometime over the last few years, but there are no records indicating he made it through the seven-year journeymen process.
He told the New York Times earlier this year he was no longer an electrician.
It is unclear what he does to earn a paycheck.
He doesn't do anything to earn a paycheck. He just rings up Mommy and Daddy in Florida when he needs money.
Let me get this straight. The head of the NYC DSA:
— Michelle Tandler (@michelletandler) August 19, 2026
+ Went to Yale for sculpture
+ Never held a real job
+ Had his dad pay his rent
+ Failed an electrician apprenticeship
+ Lives in a $1.5M Brooklyn house bought by his parents
You literally couldn’t write a better parody.
Except it's not a parody.
That's more or less the biography of every Marxist 'leader' who has ever lived.
In Dostoevsky’s novel “The Possessed,” it was the sons of rich boomers who were the most in love with socialism. Not the poor. The more things change, the more things stay the same: https://t.co/qQ12ABEh0a https://t.co/DZaKq5wKRH

Fyodor Dostoevsky may have written fictional novels, but they reflected the truth about the dangerous rise of socialism in 19th-century Russia ... and who was responsible for it.
Of course he does. https://t.co/wuE6rbf4UM

Gordillo is just staying on-brand with the long and storied tradition of Marxist charlatans.
If Marxism is a doctrine that supposedly speaks on behalf of the oppressed and downtrodden, why is it so often adopted by the elites?

Marx himself, while railing against the evils of the bourgeoisie, came from an upper-middle-class family that owned vineyards and employed… https://t.co/gdQ0sbezpz
... domestic servants.
Friedrich Engels, his biggest supporter and personal financier, drew his money from the family textile business — he spent twenty years managing the Manchester mill his father part-owned, and sold out his partnership in 1869 to fund the rest of Marx’s life.
Vladimir Lenin’s father had attained hereditary nobility, with his family owning property and employing servants.
Trotsky’s father was a prosperous landowner in what is now Ukraine.
Mao Zedong’s family was considerably better off than ordinary Chinese peasants.
Fidel Castro’s family had a large estate.
Che Guevara was born into a relatively affluent family.
Pol Pot’s family had unusually strong connections to the Cambodian royal court, and he came across Marxist doctrine while studying abroad in Paris.
So while the common narrative is that Marxism and communism are doctrines for the benefit of the poor, the men who built and led them were almost without exception the comfortable.
You can see the same thing happening in Middle East terrorist hellholes like Gaza, where they raise children to hate and murder Jews, while the billionaire Hamas leadership lives in luxury in Qatar.
Again… every communist in America is just a failed child of much more successful parents who feel they’ve been failed by the state because they’re not rich too. https://t.co/AqjErYMq8E

Communism is the religion of envy and hate. It always has been, and it always will be.
The nomenklatura always get the nice dachas because, after all, ‘some animals are more equal than others’ https://t.co/Xs8gIPWvOu

As the saying goes, Orwell wrote cautionary tales, not playbooks.
But it's clear that Gustavo Gordillo, like every other DSA politician and like every other Marxist throughout history, is following the playbook to the letter.
No wonder leftist schools don't want to teach about the history of Communism or Marxism anymore. They need students to be useful idiots for wealthy failures like Gordillo and Mamdani.
