Now normally, this wouldn’t cause for much of a concern.
Just another set of pasty butt cheeks prancing around the outfield before inevitably getting bodyslammed by stadium security.
But the photo that AP photojournalist Jeff Roberson managed to snag of the streaker at last night’s Phillies-Cardinals tilt is permanently etched into our memories, and that’s a good thing.
He captured the free American spirit at its finest, complete with a tattoo sprawled across the man’s ribcage that, of course, read “Hakuna Matata”.
America needed this to happen.
Baseball, strangely, needed this to happen.
And with that, a good start to Memorial Day weekend and the unofficial kick off point to the rest of this interesting and entertaining season.
They questioned the streaker and they asked him why he did it. He said he lost a bet to a friend. 22 year old landscaper. @Cardinals
