We all know the frustrations of flying. NFL Media’s Albert Breer had a bad experience this morning when he got bumped from the waiting list on his U.S. Airways flight. He took to Twitter to vent. And vent. And vent.
Hey @usairways … Thanks for giving away my seat. I'm at the gate. No ticket. Here's proof: pic.twitter.com/CUhGHnLDaZ

I can't imagine having a worse 36-hour experience than I'm having with @usairways. Except for this other time in 2010 with @usairways.

By the way @usairways, the gate agent at C8 in Charlotte working the 9:45 flight to Boston was a complete jerk and unbelievably unhelpful.

The problem seems to stem from Breer’s late arrival.
Gate still open, passengers still boarding … Looks like I made it in time. Yet @usairways gave my seat away pic.twitter.com/NBaDL0LtyH

US Airways responded:

Attitude adjustment plank, please.
@USAirways Thanks for the update. I fly over 100 days a year. I know the rules. And I know EXACTLY the crap you guys pulled here. #oversold

OK … It gets worse. Ten minutes ago, @usairways told me I was 3rd on standby for an 11:30 to Boston. Now, gate agent says I'm 7th. What?!

Recommended
I've only flown @usairways b/c of timing issues to Charlotte/Philly b/c it's the only direct option. Considering scrapping even that.
— Albert Breer (@AlbertBreer) November 19, 2013
This is almost as bad as the time @usairways stranded me overnight in Charlotte on a missed connection, then refused to get me a hotel room.
— Albert Breer (@AlbertBreer) November 19, 2013
Apparently, I'm not the only one getting hosed … Lots of upset people on a random Tuesday, huh, @usairways? pic.twitter.com/a5zi9cMRI7

Final tally: 3rd to 7th to 8th to 12th on the standby list. Now flying through DC instead. See you Friday, Boston.

Viewers and colleagues who know of Breer’s difficult reputation in the biz are not shedding any tears.
@AlbertBreer @USAirways: We get it.

@AlbertBreer @USAirways "I fly over 100 times a year". What a complete wanker… @mtd10mm

@AlbertBreer no one slams the airlines on social media more than you. I'm surprised they even sell you tickets!

@AlbertBreer @USAirways has done the same thing every day. The same thing every day. Those that have been there know, same thing every day.
