ABC News worries that kids are returning to hot classrooms because of CLIMATE CHANGE

The whole country is talking about education, mainly because so many schools were closed down for so long during the pandemic, and because a lot of parents don’t want divisive topics like critical race theory taught to their children.

Over at ABC News, they’re much more concerned about hot classrooms due to climate change. They complain that there are too many schools that don’t have air conditioning, which is a little confusing since so many people on the left claim that air conditioning contributes to climate change. Which is it?

From the story:

Too hot for school? Climate change turning classrooms into a public health issue

As kids return to school across the country, fall-like temperatures haven’t returned to classrooms.

Instead, students from more than 100 Philadelphia schools were sent home early on the second and third day of school because of the district’s extreme heat protocol and the 90-degree temperatures both inside and outside school buildings. It’s a major problem, especially when roughly 100 Philly schools have no air conditioning.

“About 40% of the schools in the United States are thought to have air conditioning,” said Paul Chinowsky, a professor of civil engineering at the University of Colorado-Boulder and contributor to the report, “Hotter Days, Higher Costs: The Cooling Crisis in America’s Classrooms.”

As you can imagine, people have thoughts about this.

By the way, ABC News … who runs Philadelphia?

Also, it’s September, which means the warm weather is going away very soon.

Here’s a suggestion.

We have some very real education-related issues to deal with in this country right now. Some of these issues will decide elections in November. Perhaps ABC could try focusing on genuine concerns.
