“The Late Late Show” is celebrating something a groundbreaking achievement today: its 50th anniversary. The Irish chat show has been on television for five decades, a number very few will ever even get close to. How are they celebrating the big day? Why, with Liam Neeson and a couple folk legends, of course!
One of the performances that’s picked up considerable attention is Sinead O’ Connor’s, who most Americans remember for that whole cross-burning incident.
No worries, she’s not doing any of that today, just a little performance.
Fans have been raving (or ranting) about the performance on Twitter. Here are some thoughts from those watching:
"Gorgeous" not the right word for what Sinead O'Connor did there – powerful, searing, masterful, true, maybe even beautiful. #latelate50

You know something isn't quiet right when Sinead O' Connor seems to be the most sanest person in the room. #LateLate
