As Twitchy reported, actor Matthew McConaughey won hearts with his faith-filled acceptance speech for his Best Actor Oscar Sunday night. Sadly, yet predictably, not everyone applauded his speech, which thanked God. MTV host Chet Cannon weighed in on the beyond tepid crowd reaction.
Fox News’ Father Jonathan Morris also weighed in on the reaction of the Hollyweird crowd.
The nervous, muted applause after @McConaughey courageously thanked God as "the one I look up to", spoke volumes. #Oscars2014

Amen.
@fatherjonathan @McConaughey no surprise there Hollywood is mainly a group of agnostics and atheists. Their god is little golden trophies.

@fatherjonathan it was the best part of the Oscars! We need more courage like his in "the industry"! Bet he doesn't get asked to present..

Keep expressing your faith freely, Mr. McConaughey. Alright, alright, alright.
