That’s right.
RT @radleybalko Pls tell me he didn't say this RT @tobyharnden Obama: "The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam"
— Grey Duck Dang It (@new_iconoclast) September 25, 2012
Yes, he said it. He said, “the future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam” during his speech to the United Nations today.
Read President Obama's speech before the United Nations General Assembly, as prepared http://t.co/PO42JgfN
— The New York Times (@nytimes) September 25, 2012
From the text of the speech via The New York Times:
The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam. Yet to be credible, those who condemn that slander must also condemn the hate we see when the image of Jesus Christ is desecrated, churches are destroyed, or the Holocaust is denied. Let us condemn incitement against Sufi Muslims, and Shiite pilgrims. It is time to heed the words of Gandhi: “Intolerance is itself a form of violence and an obstacle to the growth of a true democratic spirit.” Together, we must work towards a world where we are strengthened by our differences, and not defined by them. That is what America embodies, and that is the vision we will support.
Eh, to be credible or something we have to kinda sorta say stuff about the desecration of Jesus. But, you know. Whatever. The prophet!!!111
The future must not belong to those who insult the prophet of Islam, unless they give at least $1 million to an Obama Super PAC.

And Twitter users are rightly outraged.
Our appeasement-oriented president compares crucifixion of Coptic Christians with "slandering the prophet of Islam." Absurd.

Unreal. The apologitis and dangerous policies of appeasement have reached epic levels. And in an incredibly dangerous and horrific way. The attempted quashing of free speech by President Obama continues and shows no signs of stopping. We cannot have a President of the United States who runs roughshod over our freedom, all in a pitiful attempt to appease those who wish to kill us and excuse their barbaric acts.
Further, yesterday during a taping of “The View,” President Obama admitted that the murders of four Americans in Libya was not just a mob action. Yet, he was unable to actually call it a terrorist attack.

That continued during his dangerously incompetent speech to the United Nations today.
Obama:[on anti-#Muslim video]"U.S. had nothing to do with that video. We understand how people are offended because we have #Muslims here."
— Africa Renewal, UN (@africarenewal) September 25, 2012
No, offensive is the President of the United States condemning the First Amendment and the free exercise thereof. How dare you?
Terrorist attack? Just a bump in the road.

Yet he mentioned it a half a dozen times during his UN address.
