Bless her heart. Valerie Jarrett joined Twitter today and immediately took to lame and tired “equal pay” pushing. Following President Obama’s lead, of course. Or is he following hers? You decide.
Regardless, they both never let pesky facts get in the way of using women as pawns.
FACT: On average, full-time working women earn just 77 cents for every dollar a man earns. #EqualPay

Top Obama aide Valerie Jarrett is now on Twitter at @vj44. She's urging Senate passage fo the Paycheck Fairness Act

The wage gap myth has been debunked time and time again. Of course, there are a couple of places where a wage gaps still remain; in The White House and in Democrat senate offices, as Twitchy reported last month.
As Fox Nation and the Washington Free Beacon report, several female Senate Democrats want you to do as they say, but not as they do. They are currently spouting “war on women” lines and pushing for passage of the Paycheck Fairness Act, but they are big, old, wage gap-y hypocrites. They actually pay their female staffers less than their male counterparts. From the Fox Nationarticle:
Of the five senators who participated in Wednesday’s press conference—Barbara Mikulski (D., Md.), Patty Murray (D., Wash.), Debbie Stabenow (D., Mich.), Dianne Feinstein (D., Calif.) and Barbara Boxer (D., Calif.)—three pay their female staff members significantly less than male staffers.
Murray, who has repeatedly accused Republicans of waging a “war a women,” is one of the worst offenders. Female members of Murray’s staff made about $21,000 less per year than male staffers in 2011, a difference of 35.2 percent.
That is well above the 23 percent gap that Democrats claim exists between male and female workers nationwide.
Whoops! Discriminators, heal thyselves.
Twitter jumped in to welcome her and help set her straight.

Hi @vj44, would you also be able to explain why the @SenateDems are the worst offenders of #equalpay? Thanks!

Did someone say Valerie Jarrett is tweeting aout equal pay? Does that mean she's attacking Nancy Pelosi http://t.co/Yobq1K32 #pelosi #tcot
— Peter Ingemi (@DaTechGuyblog) June 4, 2012
Wait a tic! Nancy Pelosi’s office, too? Yep.
Is it possible that the females on Nancy Pelosi’s staff — the same ones who help Nancy craft all her Republican “war on women” nonsense — are paid less than their male counterparts?
That would appear to be the case:
According to publicly available salary data at the website Legistorm, Pelosi’s female employees earned an average annual salary of $96,394 in fiscal year 2011. Male employees earned $123,000 on average, a difference of 27.6 percent.
The gap is even larger if calculated using the median salaries for men and women. For Pelosi’s female employees, the median annual salary was $93,320 in 2011, compared to $130,455 for male employees—a difference of $37,135, or 40 percent.
Pelosi’s entire staff—men and women—earned an average annual salary of $108,150 and a median salary of $114,662. By both measures, women made considerably less.
Huh. Nancy Pelosi said she couldn’t speak to female senate staffers being paid less than their male counterparts because it’s “another world.” Are her offices also another world? Bizarro world, maybe.
Clean your own house, Ms. Jarrett.
Look at that, Valerie Jarrett is on twitter and has already started with the "equal pay" distraction –> @vj44
