Florida voters have a huge lift coming up in November. We have to replace our amazing Governor Ron DeSantis. First of all, there is no replacing him. There is no filling those boots. I have tried my best not to think about it because it's unfathomably sad. He has done so much for this state and there is truly no way we could ever repay him. This is one time I hate term limits. He could be Governor forever and I would be happy. Casey has also been an amazing First Lady. She has worked hard to ensure his agenda was enacted well and done a lovely job also rearing their children. They really are a tremendous family.
I have to deal with reality and decide who I will vote for in the upcoming GOP Primary for Governor. As plugged into politics as I am, I truly haven't done enough research yet because I was avoiding the inevitable. In my mind, my options are: Byron Donalds, Jay Collins, Paul Renner, and Bobby Williams. David Jolly is also in the mix, but I have no stomach for traitors to the GOP and Fishback has made too many Anti-Semitic remarks for my taste. I'm a Christian before I am a Republican and God has been clear what our stance toward Israel should always be: Bless Israel.
Gov. DeSantis is right.

A debate was promised to Republican voters, and now the rules are being changed to protect a preferred outcome.
Florida Republicans deserve to hear directly from the candidates, compare our records, and decide for themselves who should be the next… pic.twitter.com/brGkOQ68dL
Governor DeSantis has called on the Republican Party of Florida (RPOF) to allow a debate. For all he has done for the Republican Party in Florida, he deserves some deference. They owe him that. He has left this party in tremendous condition. He should be able to ask this simple request and have it granted.
The chairman of the party should not be insulting the intelligence of Republican voters. A debate was promised and these ridiculous criteria are being used to renege on that promise and to engineer a preferred outcome.

Why not just take 90 minutes, find a tv partner, and let… https://t.co/KyuWYzA65Z

It's so bizarre our Governor is openly begging the Party Chair to do what should just be natural. It's actually unsettling. Why is the party behaving this way? I expect this of Democrats.
The rift between DeSantis and state party has long been a thing (he’s a sitting governor with no role next weekend), but it has spilled out in the open

I’d guess Florida GOP isn’t going to change anything https://t.co/BfhPPIY3TS
If there was ever an example of biting the hand that feeds you, it's this. The RPOF leadership should be ashamed. A wildly popular Republican Governor should not have to take to Twitter to get you to do your job. Let's debate.
