With the 2026 midterms approaching and Governor Ron DeSantis term-limited after two highly successful terms, political rhetoric in Florida is intensifying. Over the past several years, Republicans have dominated the state, systematically dismantling Democrat strongholds and delivering results that voters clearly support. Now, the left is fighting hard to claw back power and make themselves relevant again.
Florida has been controlled by the Republican Party for 30 years. Republican have run all 3 branches of government here in Florida for 3 decades.

So serious question for my fellow Floridians……
If you are concerned with the homeowners insurance issues we have, the over…
One of those Democrats trying to make a splash is a Firefighter/Paramedic running for Congress. As a Mother of a Firefighter/Paramedic myself who is also a Driver/Engineer and almost a Lieutenant (that was my humble brag, right there), I should be supportive of this guy. Pass! The things he is saying are pure bunk.
My homeowners, flood, wind and auto insurance are ALL way below where they were 3 years ago.

And I had a huge claim from Ian.
Swing and a miss, libtard. pic.twitter.com/SyX7lrF4bq
My homeowner's insurance premium also went down recently. Floridians who haven't seen a significant drop should shop around. The Florida controlled legislature worked really hard the past few years to bring relief to homeowners.
Says the guy advocating for the party that has put forth former Republicans as their candidate. First Crist, now Jolly.

😏
The only people who want to be Democrat candidates right now are those who flunked out of the GOP and are still desperate to be in elected office.
Honest question: Show me the Democrats' solution to any of these issues. Be specific.

Florida has the challenges of success
Deep blue states have the challenges of failure.
People are moving here in droves because Florida is just that good. There are absolutely challenges, but the Republican led leadership in Florida has handled it well.
Because Florida is the best place to live in the entire country. One of the biggest reasons is because of the leadership we have mostly through DeSantis. If Democrats were in control of Florida it would be a bum filled s**t show

If Democrats would have been in charge during COVID, we'd all still be locked in our houses.
Tourism/Entertainment is the backbone of the state most of the people that live here aren't native and aren't invested in their communities enough to care to vote, the native Floridians come from bitter racist confederates who got nothing BUT time to vote https://t.co/vfmRwVa7dA

And of course, there are always people eager to paint every Florida native with the same tired brush. I’m a fifth-generation Floridian. My parents and grandparents were never 'bitter racist Confederates.' They were salt-of-the-earth people who worked cattle ranches and orange groves — honest, hardworking folks who built lives in this state long before it was fashionable.
Yes, true Florida natives are becoming rarer, but those of us who remain love this place deeply. We want to preserve what makes it special and keep it a great home for generations to come. The best way to do that is by continuing to elect Republicans who actually respect Florida’s values, prioritize safety, freedom, and opportunity, and refuse to turn it into another failing blue-state experiment.
