My father was always a proponent of the idea you must identify a problem before you can solve it. In addition, you have to admit something is a problem collectively before you can solve it. Without those two steps, people will go round and round and never solved a thing. This is why formed committees often prove fruitless. They miss the main point, that is, they never identify the problem and come to a consensus it's actually a problem. It's why Leftists are so angry at the Trump Administration for naming the fraud ring in Minnesota as a 'Somali fraud ring'. This puts too fine a point on the issue and therefore, they are worried the issue might have a simple enough resolution. President Trump has already done that by putting a halt on all Somali immigration activities. They don't like those kinds of consequences.
Why do we call it a "Somali fraud ring" but when a group of white guys are arrested in criminal schemes (happens all the time) it's not a "white fraud ring"? Maybe the white fraud is @christopherrufo who claimed he believed in colorblindness but is pandering to gutter racism. https://t.co/32YW2wGPHu

Zaid wants this just to be called a 'fraud ring' because then, to the casual observer, it's a whole bunch of American citizens without scruples making bad choices. To be sure, there are bad Americans, so that is not hard to believe. It makes it much more difficult to come to a conclusion about how to solve it. When the identified problem is a subset of a group of 80,000 Somalians who immigrated to Minnesota, well, that's a whole lot easier pin down. Zaid knows that and so do people who agree with him.
The only group the GOP won't do this to are jewish americans because they fear political backlash, but they probably would if they thought it would help them politically.

Of course, he had to get a Anti-Semitic jab in because he is a true Leftist after all.
“Somali” isn’t a color, you magnificent intellect.

That's the thing. Zaid is actually one of the more intelligent Leftists. This is all a big game to distract.

Bingo! If they talk nonsense round and round in circles, a solution can never be found and people who are willing to take advantage of this idiocy continue to thrive. Of course, having an Attorney General like Keith Ellison on the case is also very helpful.
We call them “Somali fraud rings” bc they weaponized the race element and explicitly threatened to bring frivolous lawsuits of racism if their extortions and bribes were not accepted. https://t.co/7RglBVtDQo pic.twitter.com/9acjWxZfJm

They may be new to America, but they quicky learned how to take advantage of 'radical empathy' for their own financial gain.
This is entirely in bad faith and he knows it's entirely in bad faith and he knows we all know it's entirely in bad faith. So what is the point? https://t.co/805pTXSU4m

The point is to distract, obfuscate, annoy, confuse and bewilder. Under those conditions, sensibility will never triumph. That leaves hard working taxpayers left open to get conned again and again and over and over.
