Listen, I'll be the first to say I am no marriage expert and not one woman in the world should come to me for my advice on wedded bliss (although I can absolutely tell you what not to do). I will say both of my ex-husbands have had many failed relationships before and after me, so at least I know I'm not the ONLY problem. Anyway, I read this tweet today and my heart broke for this husband.
My husband: "I love that when people ask me how we live on our income, I can tell them God provides."

Me: (looks at ripped bed sheet)(looks at cracks in walls)(looks at peeling flooring)(looks at torn couch)(looks at demolished bathroom)(looks at broken closet door)"...Right." https://t.co/q1thq33VC4
This man works hard, clearly, and this is the best his wife can do online? Look, being broke is no fun. I'm also an expert in this, but this is a husband and father who is very clearly trying. He isn't sitting home playing video games and watching television whilst refusing to work (that's what I experienced with husband #2). Still, all his wife can see is the things wrong all around her.
We're okay, but I'm pretty sure anyone who came to visit would not think God miraculously provided, they'd think the math checked out for a family of 6 on a single <80k income.

This is what it looks like to absolutely gut a husband online

My husband is a better person than me. He works 60hrs, and then turns around and says, "God provided everything we have."

This isn't me placing blame on him.
When 1.5 blue collar incomes isn't enough for a family to replace a couch, he's not to blame.
Her husband is a much better person than her, if only for the fact he isn't going online and telling the world as hard as she tries, she isn't meeting his needs. That's exactly what she is saying.
Men: please for the love of God don't marry a woman who would post like this for the consumption of strangers on the internet. She may have some valid concerns but that's a conversation to have in private. Basic respect.

At least she's anonymous I guess but good lord. https://t.co/y5SsNmJF4P
For both sexes, make sure the person you marry has basic respect for you and will not publicly degrade you.
Your husband is right though. It’s a first world problem detached from the rest of history to be able to afford living in a house with (I assume for the average American) running hot water, insulation from the weather, 3 meals a day, but still considering the material things that… https://t.co/zivVVvR0cv

your husband is probably so proud of what he’s able to provide and for you to tear him down like this behind his back makes him really sad. :/ https://t.co/CtyOlMhp3i

This is what is looks like when a wide guts her husband. Based on her own admission her husband works 60 hours a work and thanks the Lord for all he has. Meanwhile, she is online complaining about the lack of what they have. Pitiful. https://t.co/ZDk0Ww9skR

Let's normalize going to other trusted women or our clergy to have these conversations rather than publicly humiliating the person we are supposed to love.
