The Trump Administration has launched a crackdown, deporting green card holders suspected of flouting laws or embracing lifestyles clashing with the pursuit of U.S. citizenship. Yesterday, a professor who teaches in the United States was denied re-entry into the United States and sent back to Lebanon because she attended a funeral of a Hezbollah leader. In essence, she supports terrorism.
Despite Judge order, valid H1-B visa, Dr Rasha Alawieh, a kidney transplant specialist at Brown, has been deported to Lebanon from Logan Airport. No explanation from CBP or Trump admin https://t.co/RvRY4HcVr7

Some Americans are bothered by this because they believe it robs greencard holders of their rights to free speech. It doesn't bother me in the least. I don't believe greencard holders or students here studying on study visas are entitled to the same rights as American citizens. I believe guests in our country must behave and we have every right to hold them to a higher standard.
There was so much wrong with this one-sided NYT reporting…

1) She wasn’t deported. She was denied re-entry and then left. It has nothing to do with any judicial order.
2) They left out that she had gone to Lebanon to attend the funeral of a deceased terror leader, expressed… https://t.co/z6nds0W3g0
To me, this reflects the right mindset for green card holders: they should dread police encounters, strictly adhere to every law, and focus solely on contributing to the United States without ever burdening or hindering any citizen.
What an insane trip to make on a visa. The entitlement is mind blowing.

She willingly went back to Lebanon to attend a funeral of a high level person in an organization the United States has designated a terrorist organization. Why would anyone who valued her ability to be in America do such a crazy thing? Maybe if you support a terrorist group, you should keep it to yourself if you want to stay in America.

Of course, the Media wants to hide the reasons she was refused entry. They want Americans to hear she is a Doctor and doing difficult surgeries in the US. They don't want the public to know about the terrorism support.
It is deeply insulting to millions of naturalized American citizens and millions of rule-abiding, lawful, well-behaved visa holders and green card holders, to suggest that terrorist sympathizers should get to stay in the United States. It’s insulting, demeaning, and absurd.

Yep. They tell you at the immigration office you can be deported.

I still remember my mom, brother, and sister had to take the oath at the US consulate in Taipei and the white immigration officer read the rules in his accented Mandarin.
I was only 11 so I didn't have to go…
The government has the right to select the immigrants it wants

As a country, America should want the immigrants who do everything they can to honor that privilege.
It is completely absurd and self-cucking to allow non-citizens who express the hope that their host country's…
America has the absolute right to determine who gets to 'win the lottery' and become a citizen here. We need not include terrorists and their supporters in that number.
