That first big girl job can hit hard and one young lady is feeling all the feels. A young woman took to Twitter to complain about her long 9-5 work hours and then her commute and how dark it is at night when she got out of work. She bemoaned being too tired for fun or exercise and her shock at this general state of affairs.

If you raise your kids to be hard working, mentally tough and able to think for themselves, they are gonna dominate the next generation.

If there is anything left for them. https://t.co/dNZ2OafFrE
Hard working kids will dominate in the next generation.
The "Grow up, liberal snowflake!" responses to this are surface-level critiques

They ignore the deep sense of alienation from work and prosperity that young people feel
If self-described conservatives ignore this, they guarantee the destruction of tradition
Let me explain 👇🏻… https://t.co/jd4tqe7hYe
This very very long comment does have value. Women tend to long for family and home. This young woman has neither and is probably lacking a sense of purpose. Much of that is because America has told young women to party with friends and put off marriage.
In my 20s, I got up at 5am and cleaned offices, then did my day job until 6pm, then went to a bar job in the evening, and spent all weekend cleaning holiday lets. I did that for years, and saved enough to pay for the deposit on my first flat. You can do it when you're young. https://t.co/PTGHYXyJgm

Every one of her points is completely valid. No one should have to surrender their entire waking life to work and in fact Gen Z's disgust with mandatory, in-office 40 hour workweeks is a tremendous opportunity to instigate change. https://t.co/8EUNYV0vd5

Generations before worked 9-5. It is actually, attainable.
This is 100% parental failure. Sucks, but it's true. https://t.co/pihPdKBTlM

I also used to have a 4 hour commute. While pregnant and having 2 other kids. So I moved.

For people saying "She has a point!" - no, she doesn't. Life is hard, suck it up. https://t.co/bveSlWM9LT
just because you’re from a generation that brutalized and berated you into never questioning why things are the way they are and that you shouldn’t speak unless spoken to doesn’t mean the rest of us have to sit here and take it. https://t.co/xSWWf1vYmJ

True, you don't have to take it. It may be hard to figure out a way to pay your bills, though.

everything she said was true just bc ppl don’t want their entire life revolving around a 9-5 job with hardly any time for yourself anymore like y’all do doesn’t make her wrong https://t.co/MEGJcPn6C2

I spent my time from 18-24 working full time in practice whilst doing my architecture degree in the evenings and weekends. Had a lodger to help me pay the mortgage on my apartment. Missed nights out with my friends every week to pay the bills. You get out what you put in https://t.co/MCZV1yjSRZ

all the people responding with "HAHA i work way longer deal with it honey that's how it is!!!" are profoundly spiritually broken in a way that i can't describe in words. i only feel an unfathomable, unknowable pity. https://t.co/6CeaE1pM2t

I sense a lot of young people in the comments who will be living with their parents for a very long time. God bless their parents.
