For a while now, I have been convinced Joe Biden will not be the Democratic nominee for President in 2024. Many scoffed at the idea claiming he is the incumbent and the nomination is just naturally extended to him. Wrong. Democrats have learned not to operate under the rules of which the Republican party labors. Either you can win or you're out. They made a huge mistake with Hillary and the belief she was 'owed' the nomination. They lost. It won't happen again if they can do anything about it. They see Joe's numbers plummeting and they aren't about to walk onto a landmine again. The announcement today of indictments against Hunter Biden confirms that belief for me.

The media has joined in the pile on. The corporate media only attacks Democrats when they have been given the green light by the powers that be in the DNC to pull the trigger. If you ever see a Democrat facing bad press, the DNC has expressly allowed it. They see that person as more of a liability than a benefit and they are done with them. Likely, they asked Jill to take her husband and exit stage left gracefully after this term and Jill refused. So, they had to go to Plan B and that is ... make it hurt until they leave on their own.
Yeah with the David Ignatius oped, the Morning Joe thing and this indictment, the long knives are officially out. So who will they replace him with? That's the big question now.

Absolutely, Joe will get Hunter out of this bind and then withdraw to spend time with his family, but, just not Hunter's child, Navy. He won't be spending any time with that grandchild.

This is also possible. Maybe they can convince a Supreme Court justice to retire so they can appoint Kamala to the court as a consolation gift.
He won’t run. He will step aside. Newsom will be the candidate.

It's clear what the Democrats are up to. Now, the Republicans need to adjust. It won't be a geriatric Biden who may have been easier to beat. It probably won't even be Kamala because they've seen her likability numbers, as well. Likely, it will be Gavin Newsom. As horrific as he is, he is charismatic, young, relatively good looking and very progressive. Republicans must have a candidate who can beat him. It's time to be serious and sober minded. It's imperative to nominate the person able to get on a debate stage and beat Gavin Newsom. Joe Biden will not be the competition.
