Bo Van Pelt's magical round at The Masters

We’re totally going to bury the lede on this one. Bo VanPelt is the 28th-ranked golfer in the world, a respectable position, but certainly not a person you’d expect to outshine the stars of the game. His round at The Masters today, though, may just come in at the round of the entire tournament. Not only did he drop an eagle and a birdie on consecutive holes, but he followed it up with this:

That’s a hole-in-one, folks. In three holes, he dropped 5 strokes off his score, put him at even par for the tournament, and made history at the most prestigious golf tournament of all.

He finished the course strong and finished the tournament at -1. That was, as of mid-afternoon, good for a 14th place tie. Respectable for a guy in his position. Very respectable indeed.
