One undeniable truth in life is that while you may not be interested in politics, politics is always interested in you. You may not choose to be politically active but politics will eventually intrude upon your life and force you to choose between fighting back politically or surrendering. As Twitchy has reported, the GamerGate movement is a reaction largely to the authoritarian politically correct left forcing its way into the video gaming industry.
Someone tweeted me about needing to keep politics out of #GamerGate last night. My response is thus…

#GamerGate already has politics injected into it. It’s why we’re here. Someone with enough pull to make politics matter made politics matter

At this point, the choice is what political standpoint you take in order to combat this political takeover. #GamerGate

@TheBrandonMorse I take a liberal one. Others should choose as they see fit. Our strength is in our diversity.

So when people pick up a political fight within #GamerGate, don’t get onto them for bringing politics into it.
— Brandon Morse (@TheBrandonMorse) December 7, 2014
Us political folk didn’t come to #GamerGate to bring politics, we came because there were politics already here, and we’re mad about it.
— Brandon Morse (@TheBrandonMorse) December 7, 2014
@knelligan12 @TheBrandonMorse #GamerGate needs to realize that their fight centers around fundamental social, political & economic issues.
— Nick Flor-ProfessorF (@ProfessorF) December 7, 2014
And make no mistake, #GamerGate is a right leaning action. That’s part of the reason they’re fighting you so hard.
— Brandon Morse (@TheBrandonMorse) December 7, 2014
@dtpheifer Again, participants are scattered across the political board, but GG in itself is a right leaning action.
— Brandon Morse (@TheBrandonMorse) December 7, 2014
@TheBrandonMorse I can't agree with the statement #gamergate is right-leaning, especially when most of its participants are leftists…

@TheBrandonMorse …and many of the expressed positions are fundamentally left. If anything, it's an authoritarian-libertarian conflict.

Clearly language differences need to be ironed out here.
@Smallnobody @richiewww @Chriss_m @TheBrandonMorse …and government certainly has NO place regulating entertainment and art.

@Eacaraxe @Smallnobody @richiewww @Chriss_m For starters…
— Brandon Morse (@TheBrandonMorse) December 7, 2014
@Eacaraxe @TheBrandonMorse Someone else said it best. #gamergate is a grand coalition between right and left against crazy left.

The key here is to look at that action and not care that it’s right leaning, but that it’s the right thing to do. #GamerGate
— Brandon Morse (@TheBrandonMorse) December 7, 2014
So again, I’m not here to inject my politics. I’m here to use my politics as a weapon against those that would ruin gaming. #GamerGate
— Brandon Morse (@TheBrandonMorse) December 7, 2014
I’m telling you guys all this not to sway you to one side or the other. I could care less. I just wanna play… #GamerGate
— Brandon Morse (@TheBrandonMorse) December 7, 2014
I tell you this because this is why they’re pushing back so hard and after years of doing I’ve become a realist about stances. #GamerGate
— Brandon Morse (@TheBrandonMorse) December 7, 2014
I think what I’m seeing is that I’m going off the American sense of right v left, and many are going off European.
— Brandon Morse (@TheBrandonMorse) December 7, 2014
Where in America the further right you drift the closer to complete freedom or anarchy and left is authoritarian…
— Brandon Morse (@TheBrandonMorse) December 7, 2014
@TheBrandonMorse that's a better way to explain it
— Dylan Pheifer (@dtpheifer) December 7, 2014
@TheBrandonMorse For me, the American spectrum is from individualism (right) to collectivism (left). All forms of tyranny are leftist.
— Discarded Virtues (@DiscardedVirtue) December 7, 2014
In Europe, the further right you drift the more you get towards “Nazi” or “Nationalism” and Leftist is Communism.
