Not to mention that sunscreen disproportionately benefits white people so clearly this is racist policy.

Senator Ayotte responded to critics clarifying that the intent of the new law is to break “logjams” in the FDA approval process. Given the reaction, her initial tweet about the bill signing clearly didn’t get that message across.
