Anil Dash: To enable successful start-up companies, offer welfare to immigrants

Anil Dash is a prominent blogger, “technologist,” and co-founder of ThinkUp, which believes it is “nice to be nice.” That adage apparently includes being nice to immigrants — with your tax dollars.

You see, one of the co-founders of WhatsApp, which was just sold to Facebook for $19 billion, received welfare back in the 1990s shortly after immigrating to the United States. Therefore, according to Dash, welfare “enabled” Jan Koum’s success. A clear-cut case of cause and effect!
