As Twitchy reported earlier today, U.S. Secretary of Commerce John Bryson was involved in two separate automobile accidents in Los Angeles County on Saturday. The accidents were apparently the result of a seizure (or seizures). Tonight Secretary Bryson reportedly informed President Obama that he will be taking a medical leave of absence, effective immediately.

Hopefully Bryson gets the medical help he needs to get healthy again. Scary stuff. Lucky no one got hurt.

If Bryson really is epileptic I really don't like the message this sends. Epileptic people can lead full, normal lives.

For the record, neither Commerce nor WH has attributed Bryson's accidents to a seizure.
