Wrong link, indeed.
Pentagon press secretary Rear Adm. John Kirby meant to share a link to Secretary of Defense Hagel’s statement about Wednesday’s shooting at Fort Hood. An apparent copy/paste snafu resulted in an unfortunate link to Duffel Blog, a military satire site.
My last tweet included an erroneous link. Not sure what I did wrong. Read Secdef's statement at http://t.co/ZV3TyaXJyi.

It happens to the best of us. But perhaps not as the details of a deadly shooting are unfolding. Eek!
Before Kirby could delete the tweet and issue that correction, Twitter followers spotted the link to a post titled “Captain Being Photographed Unaware It’ll Be On Cover Of Navy Times When He’s Fired Next Month.”
@MiaFarrow @PentagonPresSec yeah that's not about the shooting. ?_?
